How to File a Betting Complaint with GCG
The Gaming Commission of Ghana’s FAQ says a complaint can be emailed or submitted in writing with evidence, or made by visiting the Commission and completing a complaint form. This guide helps organise that evidence; it does not guarantee an outcome or response time.
Step 1 — Preserve the account record
Before changing anything, save:
- operator trade name, exact domain and account ID;
- transaction ID, amount, currency, payment route and timestamp;
- bet ID and complete settlement rule when the dispute concerns a bet;
- screenshots showing the full page context and device time;
- relevant terms or offer rules as they appeared on the date;
- every official support message and case number.
Redact passwords, full payment credentials, MoMo PINs, one-time codes and unrelated identity details. Never send originals of identity documents through an affiliate or social-media account.
Step 2 — Use the operator’s official complaint route
Describe one issue per case. State the requested resolution and attach a chronological evidence list. Ask for a case number and written final response. Do not open repeated tickets unless the operator asks you to; fragmented records can make the timeline harder to follow.
Step 3 — Confirm regulator scope
Check whether the exact trade name and product category appears on the current GCG operator register. Record the entity, licence number and domain claimed by the operator. If the trade name is absent or the category does not match, include that uncertainty in the complaint.
Step 4 — Escalate with evidence
Use the Commission’s official complaint form or follow the current instructions on the GCG Acts and Forms page. The Commission’s FAQ also publishes [email protected] for written contact; confirm the address on the live site before sending sensitive material.
Your cover note should contain:
- a one-paragraph summary;
- a dated timeline;
- the exact disputed amount or decision;
- the operator case number and response;
- a numbered attachment list;
- the resolution requested.
Download the plain-text evidence checklist to prepare the file offline.
If the issue involves fraud or immediate account compromise
Change the operator and email passwords from a clean device, revoke unknown sessions and contact the mobile-money provider through its official channel. Do not pay a “recovery agent” who promises to unlock funds. A regulator complaint is not a replacement for contacting appropriate law-enforcement or financial-service channels where theft or identity misuse is suspected.
What Ghana Odds cannot do
Ghana Odds is not the operator or regulator. Do not send us passwords, PINs, one-time codes, full Ghana Card images or money for recovery. We can correct a factual page error, but we cannot access an account, reverse a transaction or decide a complaint.
